but that day is not this one.
Grey's Anatomy made me teary again. They've really upped their game this season. I was not so impressed with Private Practice. Okay, I loved most of it, especially Sam telling Del to pull it together and Charlotte sending Cooper to Violet. However, I did not like Addison this episode. Seriously, ( Spoilery )
Also, where have I seen that kid before?
I'm watching my extended editions of Lord of the Rings today. They really were a great investment.
I really want to write something about the Catholic Church at the moment, but I don't think I can do it without being horribly offensive. Anything written now would be a knee jerk reaction. That being said, I don't think there will ever be a positive reaction to articles like these
I love the rain. I love the way it smells. I love the way it sounds. I love the way it makes me feel, like maybe things can just be washed clean. Also, I never outgrew squishing mud between my toes.
Vanuatu was amazing, though it may have reminded me how completely socially inadequate I am. Meeting new people when my sister is around never ends well. I know how horrible this sounds, but these were people who should have liked me better. They were interested in politics and Britcoms and didn't know every song in the Top 40. I am, however, so ridiculously awkward that my bubbly but vapid younger sibling attracts all the affection. Yes, I am jealous. My sister is perfectly lovely, she just makes me feel, well, hopeless. The bright side is that the snorkelling was mind blowingly good. I got to see a moray eel, the one type of eel that doesn't creep me out.
I think Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice should crossover more often, I really truly do. Mmmm, twice the Kate Walsh.
Mostly Kirsten Vangsness, with some Kate Walsh (me? posting compulsively about Kate Walsh? never) thrown in at the end. My LJ is far more shallow than I ever would have predicted. I swear in real life I am not this shallow. I have opinions about important things! Well thought out opinions. Well, some of them are well thought out. Okay, I have opinions and we'll leave it at that.
I wish I was brave enough to dress like Kirsten Vangsness, she is just so beautifully quirky and adorable and I am just so boring. ( Here is the pretty )
Okay, I've decided I am going to post an opinion about something relevant. It will probably be something inspired by The Courier Mail. It does seem to inspire some strong reactions, usually through its continued stupidity, ignorance, and shit stirring.
I have one more assignment, two more exams, and one more semester to go.
Am I a freak for actually enjoying where Heroes seems to be going? I mean, I do wish the characters (especially Mohinder) would stop being so fricking stupid, but that's been the case since season 1. Also, Matt and the tortoise are love. Oh, and I recommend reading Jack Coleman's blog on TWoP
, it is a bit hilarious.( Recs )( Some songs )( Sara Ramirez )

I have escaped from the city and finally made it home. 4 years of university may have taught me nothing except that I am a country girl at heart. I know there are a lot of bad things to be said about life in a small town, I've said most of them at one time or another, but I have roots here that I just haven't been able to establish in Brisbane. I know it is not the universal experience, I have friends who have thrived down there, but I'm just not one of them. I do, however, very much appreciate the large potential friends pool. I had about 3 real friends in high school because I didn't drink and drinking was (is) the primary way of socialising. I got to Brisbane and met people who did not define friendship as getting paralytic on the weekend. While I don't think I'll end up back here when I graduate and go looking for work, if I get my way I'll end up somewhere like here. If I ever have a family of my own, which I am not at all sure about yet, I want them to have what I did.
On a lighter note, I do believe I promised recs and picspam. ( Recs! More specifically a House, a Who, and a Harry rec. )( Lee )
I'm thinking maybe Scarlett for my next picspam. Also, why isn't Pushing Daisies back on yet? I want my candy coloured world filled with gruesome murders and pies back.

I really hope the next Futurama movie is better than the first two. I mean, they are still awesome compared to most other things, they are just less awesome compared to everything else Futurama. I have to say that ( just in case )
really, truly freaked me out. Bring on 'Bender's Game', I say!
I have been stress baking and trawling the Dinosaur Comics archive to avoid my exam preparations and assignment. The assignment in particular because I have no idea what I am doing or where to start. I somehow need to analyse the evolution of Australian cinema by looking at an actor's career. I'm thinking probably Judy Davis.
I still can not believe she chose McDreamy over McVet. Stupid Meredith, Chris O'Donnell is far hotter and Derek is an arse. Is it wrong that I feel nothing for Denny? Seriously, nothing. I was almost glad to be perfectly honest.
It puzzles me that I haven't failed more subjects at university.
I offer a Freema pic and a Kate pic, as these women are stunningly beautiful.( And now I'm dead from hot )
And we have Addison! I love her, even if she did cheat on Derek. It's not even just the sheer hotness, it's the way she owned what she did in 'Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head' when the patient was being horrible to Meredith. From that moment on, it was love. The hotness does not hurt though.
I'd forgotten how much I loved Burke/Christina at the beginning. It got kind of horrible towards the end, with tremor-gate, but before that they were my favourite couple on the show. I'm almost up to 'Deny, Deny, Deny' which is my single favourite episode of Grey's Anatomy, if only for when Burke gets on the bed.
I have two more lots of lecture notes to write up for my mid-semester on Tuesday. I'll have those written before I go to bed, so that just leaves a skim through my text book tomorrow. I shall be celebrating my exam with Futurama!Thursday, probably involving cake as well as the two Futurama movies.
